We’re Corey and Khadijah, partners in life and business. We started Ground Up Construction Recruiting because we knew there was a better and more cost-efficient way to solve the recruiting problem that construction companies face.

Blueprint Model
Structured, planned, and highly committed retained search. 50% of the fee is due upfront to initiate the search and 50% is due once a hire is made - this ensures dedicated and focused results.

Crew Model
Ongoing support, like part of the crew. Built for contractors with consistent hiring needs or during a growth season. One monthly fee with no additional fees per hire, and up to two searches at a time.

We tap into our construction-specific network to identify and engage top talent, including professionals who aren’t actively job searching. Our approach blends direct outreach, referrals, and targeted networking.
OUTREACH & SCREENING
Every interested candidate we contact goes through our screening process to assess their experience, motivation, and culture fit. By the time you see recommended candidates to interview, you’re only reviewing highly qualified individuals who align with your company’s goals and culture.
CANDIDATE RECOMMENDATIONS
We provide detailed write-ups for each candidate, offering context beyond their resume. You’ll understand why they’re a strong match and how they can contribute to your team before the first interview even happens.
